Joystick was formed in early 2002 when a group of well known, seasoned musicians from various bands like Wildmen from Borneo, End Over End, The Ticket, & Sumthin’ 4 Nuthin’ got together and decided it was time for a band to play the fun, energetic party songs of the last 25 years. Fronted by Tracy Maples, formerly with “Sumthin’ 4 Nuthin’”, this 4 piece band brings it every night!
They perform songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & even into today’s Hits! With harmonies & versatility that many of today’s bands are lacking, their fan base grows every week. Their professionalism and swagger can make any event perfect. Most of all, they are the extraordinary at getting the crowd involved to guarantee you ALL leave SASSY-FIDE!
Since their inception they have taken the southeast by storm, performing for hundreds of colleges, clubs, weddings, corporate, festivals and various outdoor events. They have graced the stage on some well known events and clubs around Charlotte & the Carolinas like Food Lion Speed Street ‘05, the headlining band for Taste of Charlotte ’04 & ’05. On the Border “Cinco De Mayo” Celebration ’03 & ’04. Gateway Sundown Concert Series ‘05, Corona/Don Pablo Cinco de Mayo ’05, Pineville Parks & Rec Summer Concert Series ’03 & ‘04, Wachovia Plaza Panthers Tailgate Parties ‘04, WFNZ Dog House ‘04, WRFX “Shake the Lake” ’05 & ’06, Panthers Pre-Game stage ’03 & ’04, Ri Ra the Irish Pub, Midtown Sundries, Dixie’s Tavern, & the Wild Wing Café circuit …just to name a few!
